Investigation of a model of the winding-free MHD pump with liquid metal electrodes

Abstract
The paper is concerned with the development of an MHD pump supplied with liquid metal electrodes. The proposed pump has the advantages of small size, small weight, simple design, lower power consumption and lower production costs. The absence of contact resistance between the electrode and the liquid metal makes it possible to obtain the steady state P-Q characteristic of the pump and enhance the serviceability of the channel.
