A note on the source of electric field in magnetohydrodynamics

Abstract
In his recent paper (2013), Starchenko states that it is natural to assume that in the magnetohydrodynamic approximation the electric charge density in the fluid is zero. In the present paper, we dispute the validity of this statement and prove that in the framework of the MHD approximation the electric charge density in the general case cannot be zero. Refs 10.
