Abstract
The magnetic pole of the drive system discussed in the study on speed control of the axial flow blood pump is currently small-gapped. In this paper, three speed control methods are proposed according to the working principle of the large gap magnetic drive system. Compared with their torque-frequency characteristic, the minimum energy consumption speed control method has been addressed. Based on this method, a speed control experiment study of the axial flow blood pump has been carried out. The results testify that in order to meet the human basic physiological indexes (blood pressure and blood flow), the speed of the blood pump must reach 9000 rpm, the output power must be 1.1 W and the blood pump efficiency 64.7\% under the condition of minimum energy consumption, which prove the feasibility of the speed control method.
