Abstract
In this article, a spectral method for magnetohydrodynamic flows in ducts of arbitrary shape based on R-function theory is proposed. The R-functions allow us to solve the inverse problem of analytical geometry using logical-type operators and a hierarchical tree of graphical primitives. The proposed algorithm is simpler compared to the finite element method and should work faster and can be more quickly rewritten for new calculation architectures, such as OpenCL, CUDA, Xeon Phi.
