Magnetohydrodynamic stirring for aluminium alloy production

With the help of numerical simulation of associated hydrodynamic and electromagnetic processes, an approach is discussed that is used to study processes occurring in the mixer cell during the production of molten metal using a magnetohydrodynamic stirrer. The type and dynamics of generated flows, the processes of free surface performance and heterogeneity equalization are considered. The experimental results obtained under these conditions at a real production site are also discussed. Tables 2, Figs 19, Refs 15.
