Report on the fourth Riga Conference on Magnetohydrodynamics

Abstract
The Fourth Conference on Magnetohydrodynamics was held in Riga on 21-21 June 1964. Although the sessions were held at the same time as a general meeting at the Academy at Sciences USSR and other scientific gatherings, there were over 500 participants from 130 scientific research organizations, higher educational institutions, and industrial establishments. Nearly helf of the participants were research workers, highly qualified specialists, the greater part with academic degrees. The remainder were younger people, only recently out of school, but beginning to make their contribution to the development of magnetohydrodynamics. The conference heard and discussed more then two hundred papers and comunications in three sections.
