Some problems of the two-dimensional channel flow of an incompressible fluid in the presence of electric and magnetic fields

I. K. Kukin - G. G. Smolin

Abstract
This paper deals with the two-dimensional steady-state laminar flow of an incompressible conducting fluid in a plane channel of variable cross section in the presence of crossed eclectic and magnetic fields. An approximate system of equations of the same form as the boundary-layer equations is employed. Self-similar solutions are found using Jacobi elliptic functions. The solutions embrace a broad range of problems and include the known exact solutions as special cases. Figs. 5, Refs 3.
