Abstract
This paper deals with the interaction between a plplasma flow and the magnetic field of the traveling wave produced by a line with lumped inductances and capacitances. Mathematical expressions are obtained for the amplification factor, the power delivered to the load resistance, the electrical efficiency, and the positive feedback under self-excitation conditions, with allowance for leakage fluxes and the ï¬nite value of the ratio of duct width to wavelength. The analytical results are in good agreement with the data of experiments in which the plasma was simulated by a moving metal conductor. Self-excitation conditions and steady-state generation of sinusoidal oscillations were investigated on models. Tables 1, Figs. 5. Magnitnaya Gidrodinamika 1, No. 2, 67-79, 1965 [PDF] (in Russian)
