Abstract
The induction equation is solved in the region of large magnetic Reynolds numbers for flat and cylindrical channels with a working section of finite length. The fluid velocity field is assumed given. The magnetic field distribution depends both on the magnetic Reynolds number and on the geometry of the working section. Figs 2, Refs 2.
