Magnetic weight functions for a conductive MHD channel under static conditions
G. Grinberg
Abstract
For the purpose of facilitating the optimization of the magnetization systems for conductive MHD transformers, use of so called magnetic weight functions is recommended, calculations of a few of such functions are given for a conductive MHD channel under static conditions for which the length of the electrode is equal to the width of the channel. Magnetic weight functions characterize the individual contribution to the MHD process in the channel from the magnetic charge or magnetic dipole located at a given point and. in a particular case, the individual contribution to the production of the useful component of electrodynamic force in the operative zone of the channel.
