The effects of a magnetic field on the turbulence behind a grating

A. V. Volkov

Abstract
A thermoanemometer has been used to examine the turbulence introduced in the magnetic field, which causes damping and reconstruction of the turbulence. If the turbulence is extensive, the Joule dissipation is large, and the rate of decay of the turbulence is several times greater than that without the field. Subsequently, the rate of decay falls considerably as the turbulence is reduced, which indicates a fall in the role of the Joule dissipation.
