Concerning the exact solution of a certain three-dimensional electrodynamic problem

Abstract
The self-similar solution of the three-dimensional problem is found which describes the propagation of a plane wave in a domain having bicylindrical symmetry. Equations are derived for calculating the electromagnetic field and the local and integral forces. The results of the calculations are compared with experiments, good qualitative and quantitative agreement being noted between theory and experiment. Certain energy parameters of the system considered are determined.
