Calculation of the electric field of a DC conduction magnetohydrodynamic channel

Abstract
Formulas for the electric field intensity between the electrodes in the flat channel of finite length in a dc conduction pump were obtained by conformal mapping. Some parameters of the channel calculated on models with finite and infinite lengths are compared. The work makes it possible to determine the geometric ratios of the channel for which errors are permissible if the ratios obtained for an infinitely long channel are used in the calculations.
