Electromagnetic control of degassing process of aluminium alloys in a cylindrical channel of an electromagnetic unit

Abstract
Electromagnetic control tests of aluminium alloys (Al-Mg) degassing process have been carried out using an electromagnetic unit. It has been shown that the increase of the angular velocity of metal rotation leads to the increase of degassing rate at combined melt processing as well as improves the mechanical properties of the alloys treated.
