Abstract
The results of an experimental study of a liquid metal flow in a channel with a high aspect ratio rectangular cross section and nonconducting walls are presented. The transfer to the Stokes regime in a nonuniform oblique (Θ = 45...90°) magnetic field has been investigated. It has been found that the transfer of inertial-viscous regime to the Stokes regime is similar to critical transfer. We propose also a technique for determination of the transfer regime parameters. The experimental data were generalized by using non-dimensional parameters Ha and N based on the characteristics length depending on the magnetic field direction angle Θ. Figs 6, refs 5.
