Effect of the thermogravitational convection and a longitudinal magnetic field on the heat exchange in liquid metal flow trough a horizontal pipe

V. G. Sviridov , Yu. S. Shpanskii

Abstract
Liquid metal turbulent flow and heat transfer in a longitudinal magnetic field have been investigated. Microthermocouple sensors were used for measuring temperature fields, temperature pilsations, and heat transfer coefficients. Experimental results of the magnetic field and thermogravitational convection effect on the heat transfer have been obtained. Figs. 7, refs 7.
