Abstract
A technology for soldering the winding to the commutator of electric machines by means of a flow of molten solder has been developed. The technology combines the MHD driving principle with additional induction heating of liquid solder just before soldering. Several types of devices were designed to cover a wide range of electric motors, from small car starters to large DC and induction motors. The basic advantages of the flow-soldering technology and devices can be summarized as follows: high quality of all soldered joints; manifold reduction of technological reject; high productivity (up to 250 rotors/h); considerable energy (up to 70 Magnitnaya Gidrodinamika 30, No. 3, 338-343, 1994 [PDF, 0.58 Mb] (in Russian)
