Abstract
Results of theoretical and experimental studies of interaction of a forced azimuthal circulation and a viscous meridional flow of an incompressible fluid have been presented. 3D flows of a conducting fluid with free surface in a flat horizontal layer have been considered. Local equilibrium solutions of equations for a 3D boundary layer are given. For the case of an axisymmetric rotation, an exact solution of the Navier-Stokes equation has been found.
