Abstract
The small-scale component of the geomagnetic field is generated by convective flows on a surface of the liquid core of the Earth [1]. There are the reasons to consider behavior of the small-scale components to be stochastic [2]. The random flows of a conducting liquid generate structures of magnetic field with the characteristic scale of ~ 100 km [3]. However, the magnetic fields of the similar scales on a surface of the Earth are connected only with the sources, located outside of the liquid core of the Earth. In this work we show, that the arising contradiction is explained by the strong geometrical distortion of random magnetic field during its spreading through the mantle. The obtained results may be interesting in the problems of dynamo-modeling in laboratory conditions. experimental data obtained. Figs 1, refs 15.
