Abstract
In the present work the measurements of the Soret and translational mass diffusion coefficients under an applied external magnetic field are performed. The employed grid FRS experimental setup provides the investigation of the particle volume fraction flux in one direction (one-dimensional grid) as well as in two directions simultaneously (two-dimensional grid). The agreement between the reported results and the previously obtained ones is discussed. Some new aspects in analyzing the problem are introduced, e.g. studies of the building stage of thermally induced particle grating and of magnetic convection. Figs 5, Refs 7.
