Abstract
By the model of the elastic magnetic filament it's dynamics in a rotating magnetic field is studied, taking into account the anisotropy of the friction coefficient. By numerical simulations it is shown that the behaviour of a flexible magnetic filament is characterized by the existence of a critical frequency, beyond which its dynamics is periodic with subsequent stages of bending and straightening. Below the critical frequency, the filament is bent and rotates synchronously with the field. The dependence of the critical frequency on the anisotropy of the friction coefficient is found.
