New problems of mass transport in magnetic fluids

Abstract
The experimental results on mass transfer through a non-isothermal porous layer saturated with a ferrofluid are outlined in the paper. A transversal magnetic field causes remarkable changes in the thermpohoretic particle flux. The obtained results are interpreted by taking into account the magnetoosmotic processes. Figs 5, Refs 6.
