Abstract
The paper presents results of researches on the influence of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) effect, paramagnetic and magnetic field gradient force on the process of electrochemical synthesis of Co-Pd alloys. Electrolysis was performed under galvanostatic conditions. Particular attention was paid to the influence of the magnetic field on the cathodic current efficiency, composition, structure and morphology of the produced Co-Pd alloys. Tests on the selection of electrolysis parameters are also described here, i.e. the concentration of Pd(NH3)4Cl2 and cathodic current density, in order to obtain alloy coatings with well adhesion to the substrate.
