Rotating flow a conducting fluid in an alternating electromagnetic field

A. B. Kapusta - V. P. Shamota

Abstract
A turbulent flow of a conducting fluid in an annular gap under the effect of volume forces caused by a rotating magnetic field has been considered in the "outer friction" approximation. The velocity distributions as well as the dependences of integral characteristics of the flow on gap width and other parameters have been determined. The estimates of the efficiency of interaction between the conducting liquid and the alternating electromagnetic field have been done. Figs 4, refs 2.
