Quasi-laminar and turbulent flows of a conducting fluid caused by a rotating magnetic field

Abstract
Peculiarities of the new semiempirical model of turbulent MHD-flows caused by rotating magnetic field in a cylindrical vessel, which based on the approximation of the "outer friction", has been studied. It has been shown that this model gives good concurrence with the results of experiments for different values empirical constant e and allow to determine critical values of parameters, which are correspond to the transition from one of quasi-laminar regimes of flow to turbulent.
