Abstract
The measurement of the optical anisotropy relaxation time and the concentration leveling examination in a flat cell are made for the samples of the same magnetic fluid. From the results the rotary and translation diffusion coefficients are calculated. The colloidal particle size and its ellipsoidal shape are estimated by comparing these coefficients. It has been found that the particle equivalent ellipsoid axes ratio a/b value, ranging within 9-13 is appropriate for the investigated magnetic fluid. Figs 5, Refs 11.
