PREFACE

The Russian MHD conference was initiated and held at the Institute of Conti\-nuous Media Mechanics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Perm, Russia) in June 2012 as a first step towards the revival of the Russian MHD Community consolidated on the basis of scientific meeting covering all branches of magnetohydrodynamics. Encouraged by the success of the first two conferences, the organizers and participants have come to a decision that the conference should be held on a regular basis.

The Third Russian Conference on Magnetohydrodynamics (RMHD-2018), which was again held at the Institute of Continuous Media Mechanics (Perm, Russia) in June 2018 was a new successful step in this direction. The Conference was attended by about 150 scientists from the Russian leading research institutions as well as from the scientific centers of Germany, Israel, Japan, India, Austria, Slovakia, Korea, and the United States.

The success of the three RMHD Conferences has become an added motive for scheduling the next RMHD meeting for June 2021.

Looking forward to see you in Perm for RMHD 2021!
